Literature is not only about poetry and prose- epic, drama, and fiction.
Literature also teach us- imagination, communication, analysis, empathy, understanding, agility, meaningfulness, inspiration, travel and getting fun through another's experience and expression, literary criticism, social satire, sarcasm, metabolism, romanticism, gothic/absurd/avant-garde art, myths, realism, naturalism, scientific, idealism, metaphor, picaresque, allegory, alliteration, allusion, anachronism, anaphora, anthropomorphism, epigraph, apostrophe, flashback, foreshadowing, hyperbole, irony, mood, onomatopoeia, oxymoron, paradox, personification, repetition, symbolism, synecdoche, tone, etc.
Any student of literature can know about these all things if s/he can study literature not for only become graduate, but also for getting knowledge and improvise their personality.
